Art practice / Education

Teaching

Teaching extends my art practice through making, dialogue, and critique. At Indiana State University, I connect technical production with visual culture, storytelling, and critical engagement with emerging technologies.

Making and visual culture

In Digital Art and Visual Communication, technical decisions are considered alongside the meanings images carry. Projects move through observation, ideation, production, and critique.

02

Storytelling across media

Digital Storytelling brings text, image, sound, video, and interactive forms into a shared question: how does the medium change a story and the role of its audience?

03

Critical approaches to AI

I use AI for dialogue, creative constraints, and critical reflection. Students examine outputs, check claims, and reflect on prompts and decisions as part of their own reasoning.

AI and pedagogy

My work on AI and pedagogy extends this interest in dialogue, interpretation, and the learner’s own agency.
